December 17th, 2010 - Clean Energy Fuels and Hertz announced an agreement yesterday to partner on a CNG fueling station on property adjacent to LAX airport. The fueling station will be open 24/7 and provide public access (taxis and hotel transportation) as well as support the expanding CNG fleet of Hertz airport shuttle buses. click here  >

United States' East Cost switches to natural gas
December 16th, 2010 - A combined LNG and CNG fuelling station was opened by Enviro Express Inc. -a trash-hauling company- in Bridgeport, a key East Coast highway that extends from Maine to Florida. The U.S. Department of Energy (DoE) gave a grant to help the firm to build the facility. “The first to open east of the Mississippi River”, said Patrick Davis, vehicle technologies program manager at the DoE. click here  >

Yellow Cab of Greater Orange County awarded for its CNG fleet
December 14th, 2010 - Yellow Cab has gone to extreme efforts to be creative and innovative. It is the first taxicab company in the United States to install a fully computerized dispatch system with mobile data terminals, and it has been building a "green" fleet since the 1980s, operating the largest natural gas taxi fleet west of the Mississippi with 243 vehicles. click here  >

Encana opens its first natural gas vehicle fueling station in Red River Parish, Louisiana
December 14th, 2010 - Encana Natural Gas Inc., a subsidiary of Encana Corporation (TSX, NYSE: ECA), today opened its first natural gas fueling station. The Red River station will fuel the company's growing fleet of compressed natural gas (CNG) vehicles, which is part of Encana's commitment to expand the use of cleaner-burning natural gas as a transportation fuel in North America. click here  >

Clean Energy to acquire Northstar for $10.8m
December 9th, 2010 - California-based biomethane fuels and natural gas producer Clean Energy Fuels has acquired liquid nitrogen and natural gas contractor Wyoming Northstar for $10.8m. click here  >

Starcraft Chooses CNG Route for Type A School Buses
December 8th, 2010 - Starcraft said it will take advantage of a deal with Ford and a “a very well-established and nationally-known” engine modifier to bring CNG to the small school bus market next year. click here  >

Fiat Favors Natural Gas to Hybrids or EVs
December 6th, 2010 - Fiat CEO Sergio Marchionne doesn't want to produce electric cars or hybrids as they present too many obstacles, with long recharge time for batteries being one of them. AT&T’s Growing Green Fleet
December 1st, 2010 - In March 2009, AT&T committed to replacing approximately 15,000 of its nearly 76,000 fleet vehicles with alternative fuel models by 2019.
