Waste Management Converts Half of Chico Fleet to CNG
April 21st, 2014 - Some Waste Management customers may have noticed the rumble-grumble of their trash trucks has grown signficantly quieter in recent weeks. About half the residential fleet servicing the city of Chico has been converted to compressed natural gas instead of diesel, with the remainder of the fleet expected to eventually follow. CNG as a Fuel Sets a Record in Texas in 2013
April 21st, 2014 - Compressed natural gas vehicles consumed a record 2.5 billion cubic feet of natural gas in Texas in 2013, according to the Energy Information Administration. SoCalGas Unveils Branded CNG Station
April 21st, 2014 - Southern California Gas has unveiled its first company-branded, public-access compressed natural gas fueling station at its operating base in Lancaster, Los Angeles County. The retail facility is open 24 hours a day and features a fast-fill dispenser to serve both fleets and individual owners of natural gas vehicles. READ MORE >

Florida Furniture Store Switches Delivery Fleet to Natural Gass Vehicles
April 18th, 2014 - City Furniture, the Tamarac, Fla.-based furniture chain, is converting all 85 delivery trucks to CNG, becoming one of the first mid-sized private companies in the state to do so. City Furniture figures CNG will cut its fuel costs by at least half: About $1.75 of CNG covers the same mileage as a gallon of diesel, whic now costs around $4.25. That should save the company about $20,000 per truck per year on fuel alone -- or more than $1 million yearly on the first 51 CNG trucks just incorporated into its fleet. READ MORE >

Dallas Adds 99 CNG Trucks, Vans
April 18th, 2014 - The City of Dallas is continuing its transition to a greener fleet with the recent purchase of 99 compressed natural gas (CNG) trucks and vans. These vehicles being purchased are 65 Ford F-150 trucks, four F-250 trucks, and 30 E-250 vans. These units will be used by various core departments providing field services to the public, such as Code Compliance, Street Services, Dallas Water Utilities, Public Works, Park and Recreation, Police, and Building Services, Cheritta Johnson, Dallas' assistant director of Equipment Services, told Government Fleet. Atlanta Gas Light Partners with Premier Transportation on Second CNG Station Opening
April 16th, 2014 - Atlanta Gas Light, a subsidiary of AGL Resources, joined trucking and logistics company Premier Transportation to commemorate the opening of the second public access compressed natural gas (CNG) station developed under the AGL CNG Infrastructure Program. Several key officials gathered to celebrate the latest expansion of CNG stations in Georgia, which supports the growth of fueling infrastructure for natural gas vehicles. READ MORE >

Clean Energy Fuels Opens Newest Public CNG Station at JFK International Airport
April 8, 2014 - Clean Energy Fuels Corp. announced fueling has begun at its newest public access CNG station in New York, which is located at JFK International Airport within the newly-opened JFK multi-fuel travel plaza, the only travel plaza in New York City available to motorists. Clean Energy will be fueling many types of fleets including refuse trucks, heavy and medium duty trucks, ready-mix concrete trucks, as well as shuttles and taxis that directly serve JFK travelers.
