Natural Gas Gaining Amid Fuel Options, Panelists Say at Clean Transport Expo
May 19th, 2014 - Speakers at the Alternative Clean Transportation Expo here earlier this month noted challenges and opportunities as heavy-truck operations roll natural gas into their fuel mix, albeit slowly. Truckload carrier Paper Transport Inc. has used compressed natural gas in its trucks since 2010 and has about 100 Kenworth vehicles, or about 25% of its fleet, running on the alternative fuel, company President Jeff Shefchik said. Fort Myers Hosts JJ Taylor's Second CNG Station for Heavy-Duty Trucks
May 19th, 2014 - TruStar Energy has completed the second compressed natural gas (CNG) refueling station for client JJ Taylor, a Florida-based beverage distributor that is seeking to shift almost its entire fleet of trucks to CNG in the next three years. This new station is located at JJ Taylor's location in Fort Myers, Fla. The companies' first collaboration was on a CNG facility in Tampa, which came online two years ago. READ MORE >

Penske Brings CNG Rental Trucks to Select Markets
May 9th, 2014 - Penske Truck Rental has introduced 85 compressed natural gas (CNG) Freightliner Cascadia semi-tractors, available for commercial rental use in select markets. These day-cab semi-tractors, equipped with Cummins Westport 12-liter engines, are currently in stock and are ready for rent in Southern California, northern California, Phoenix, Denver, Salt Lake City, Dallas-Fort Worth, Atlanta and Baltimore. Love’s Opening Fast-Fill CNG Stations in New Mexico, Arizona
May 7, 2014 - Love’s Travel Stops will bring fast-fill compressed natural gas (CNG) fueling capabilities for heavy-duty trucks and a CNG fueling option for passenger vehicles at travel stops in Albuquerque, NM, and Williams, AZ. The locations will be the first public-access travel stops along the 960-mi. stretch of I-40 between Amarillo, Texas, and Barstow, CA, to offer CNG, the company said.The announcement follows an agreement between Love’s and Kansas-based Seaboard Foods, an integrated food company with a refrigerated foods transportation division, to expand Love’s fast-fill CNG offerings into new parts of the U.S. READ MORE >

Kroger, Cardenas Markets Deploy Natural Gas Trucks
May 6th, 2014 - Cardenas will deploy 15 heavy-duty compressed natural gas (CNG) trucks in its private fleet in California and Nevada. The chain plans to convert its entire fleet of over 50 trucks to CNG in the coming years, Clean Energy Fuels said.. READ MORE >
